Our Bakery

At Mounfield, we also run a high-quality bakery which produces a range of pies and pastries using our unique, traditional family recipes. As well as this, our pies, quiches, and sausage rolls are made using our high quality, locally sourced meats; another reason why they taste so good!

We produce fresh sweet and savoury pastries daily for our own shop, which we are now starting to sell online, as well as welcoming wholesale orders.

Mounfield’s is a truly unique family business. Established since 1890 it is now in its fifth generation of trading and is passionate in delivering its ethos ‘field to fork quality produce’.


All our animals are sourced direct from local farmers. We maintain a very high standard of animal welfare resulting in low stress levels of all stock, again this ensures quality in our meat.


Our shop has become a gallery that displays our numerous awards over the years, including consecutive deliciouslyorkshire awards and winners of national BPEX awards.


Our small team of experienced and skilled butchers ensure high standards of animal welfare and minimum stress for our livestock is achieved as we slaughter on site in our own small, busy abattoir; food miles are kept to an absolute minimum.
