Our sales team here at Mounfields are always happy to help and are extremely proud to be the fifth generation of Mounfield’s, taking the business forward and incorporating the new online shop into an ever-changing and demanding modern world.
History & Heritage
The Mounfield’s have occupied White House and the current business site since 1928. Due to expansion, David’s grandfather, James Pratt Mounfield moved the business from a central village location, relocating from the building which is now the hairdressers.
However, it wasn’t David’s grandfather that founded the business…

Mounfield’s is a truly unique family business. Established since 1890 it is now in its fifth generation of trading and is passionate in delivering its ethos ‘field to fork quality produce’.
SUSTAINABLE MEAT
All our animals are sourced direct from local farmers. We maintain a very high standard of animal welfare resulting in low stress levels of all stock, again this ensures quality in our meat.

ONSITE ABATTOIR
Our small team of experienced and skilled butchers ensure high standards of animal welfare and minimum stress for our livestock is achieved as we slaughter on site in our own small, busy abattoir; food miles are kept to an absolute minimum.
